Collaboration with Machine Fabriek Elburg

As a foundry, we make castings that can be processed elsewhere. The collaboration with Machine Fabriek Elburg makes it easier for us to offer the entire process. We can cast the products ourselves and they can then be processed at Machine Fabriek Elburg. This means we are able to meet the demands of our customers, and our customers increasingly want a one-stop shop.

VULCANUS CASTINGS INITIATIVES

For us, sustainability starts on the drawing board where we work with our customers to co-engineer how their products can be made smart, efficient, economical and sound. Our production process is a continuation of this, based on the desire to save raw materials, energy and water. We do this by investing in sustainable innovation and skilled personnel.

In our sector, which is so clearly about raw materials and energy, the responsibility to produce sustainably is enormous. Up-cycling steel scrap is one example of how our sector is, in its nature, a sustainable activity. Foundry products themselves have an infinite reusability value, and Vulcanus Castings BV strives for more than 95% reuse of raw materials. And the nature of our production process is another example of how we naturally strive to continuously seek energy savings. Vulcanus Castings BV therefore complies with the multi-year agreement for energy management in the Netherlands.
